My Last Entry

After 2 longs years, i have decided to retire this blog.i have simply lost all zest and inspiration to blog on here, and its beginning to feel like a chore. So just like in a relationship between a man and woman, or a man and a man, or man and his dog, when things are't working out between both parties(in this scenario,me and my blog), it is time to put an end to it to serve the best interests of all concerned. Ofcourse that doesn't mean i have stopped blogging altogether. i have shifted my attention to a new blog me and my "acquaintances of convenience" just started on recently. All posts of mine from henceforth will feature on http://antivbrigade.wordpress.com/ . so that's that. i am sorry if my final post on here came across as a little subdued or anticlimactic,...but hey, this not the end...just a new beginning. ;)

THERE IS A LIGHT THAT NEVER GOES OUT

Take me out tonight
Where there's music and there's people
Who are young and alive
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one anymore

Take me out tonight
Because I want to see people
And I want to see life
Driving in your car
Oh please don't drop me home
Because it's not my home, it's their home
And I'm welcome no more

And if a double-decker bus
Crashes in to us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well the pleasure, the privilege is mine

Take me out tonight
Take me anywhere, I don't care

I don't care, I don't care
And in the darkened underpass
I thought Oh God, my chance has come at last
But then a strange fear gripped me
And I just couldn't ask

Take me out tonight
Oh take me anywhere, I don't care
I don't care, I don't care
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one
No, I haven't got one

And if a double-decker bus
Crashes in to us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well the pleasure, the privilege is mine

There is a light that never goes out
There is a light that never goes out

There is a light that never goes out
There is a light that never goes out

WHEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

it's been awhile eh....haw haw! i don't really have much of an excuse for not posting on here other than that i have been a lazy cunt and well simply put, i have lost my zest for blogging. That doesn't necessarily mean this blog is nearing its point of extinction...far from it. Its demise though inevitable will surely be prolonged as long as i'm alive and kicking...and no, i'm not going to kick the bucket anytime soon. So you fuckers out there who hate my guts( last i counted the numbers have shot up to little more than a few hundred thousand) with your voodoo dolls and bomoh assisted curses, you've a long wait you miserable bastards! i apologise for the overwhelming amount of profanities being carelessly thrown about on this post...i guess i am just a little over excited after my long hiatus. I promise to display a little more self control in my subsequent posts, though i don't suppose that will be any time soon, which would consequently mean another outburst of expletitives the next time i feel like i need to come on here to express myself.

Few of the idiots who i refer to as my friends have gone on holidays overseas. One to California, and the other to India(rajasthan i assume). We'll miss you here vikram. Football just isn't the same without you...for better or for worse...*cough*. As for my "friend" who's confused about his ethnic roots, get your arse back here as soon as possible eh...I WANT MY BRAND NEW LEVIS!!!!! But ofcourse that is not to say you aren't missed as well....err for...err reasons which i can't think of at present..err due to my err...catatonic state of mind..err yeah.. that's my excuse for the day.

Anyways, thank god for the World Cup to help maintain my sanity(some would question that...ok a little more than some), otherwise i would have flipped it and would have to be admitted to a nut house. This World Cup thus far has definitely looked far more promising than the last few. Lots of great goals and some truly outstanding football played. Argentina were out of this world against the hapless Serbians who must have wished the game ended at half time as they were meticulously toyed with before being mercilessly dispatched. That 24 pass move that resulted in the 2nd goal was the stuff of fantasy football that one would have trouble replicating on Winning Eleven nevermind on a football pitch . In a World Cup in which Brazil has yet to live up to its reputation in terms of performances( the likes of Ronaldhino and Adriano have looked ordinary, while Ronaldo has simply been atrocious) , it is a welcome relief that Argentina have stepped up their game and play more "Brazilian" than the Brazilians themselves! And ofcourse one cannot stop waxing lyrical about Ghana's performance against the Czechs perhaps marred a little by the tactical ineptitude and plain studpidity of some of their forwards. The next time i see that clown Ping Pong or whatever his name is take to the field, i swear i will break something....useless waste of space that he is. Anyway, thanks to that win, we can expect a cracking game between the Italians and the Czechs. And i can't wait to see Ghana kick the shite out of the americans...haw haw! that would be a highly entertaining amd hugely satisfying game! As for England, i can only hope they will redeem themselves against the Swedes after 2 of the most mindnumbingly dull performances i've seen at the World Cup.Fortunately for them, they are placed in a relatively easy group and have managed to scrape some arguably undeserved wins. They'll get torn apart though by a half decent side, and sweden will prove to be a much sterner test than Paraguay und Trinidad and fuckin Tobago!. Now, we'll just have to wait and see how that game turns out.

There a few upcoming movies i'm looking forward to. One would be the long awaited return of Superman on celluloid, Superman Returns and the other a swedish horror flick Frost Bite. I fully expect Superman Returns to blow X-men: The Last Stand away to the distant realms where functional but forgettable films(i'm being kind here) are condemned for eternity. I may seem a little too over confident of the prospect of Superman Returns being good. But that is a testament to the amount of faith i have in director Bryan Singer to conjure up a memorable high quality film worthy of his reputation. As for Frost Bite, i don't know a great deal about the film, nothing actually, but i am curious. Plus i have developed a fetish for foreign films which i reckon are usually superior to the average film hollywood dishes out with such alarming regularity. Currently there aren't many decent films showing at the theatres(which can be a good thing when one is low on financial resources). This is probabaly the worst period of the year for quality films...what one would describe as a "lull period" for movie goers. The last film i watched on the big screen was a local film Love Story ,directed by err forgot the bloke's name, which is excellent by any standards. Perhaps a little too arty , slow paced and dense for mainstream viewers, the film is a highly engaging mind bender. Unlike the usuall hollywood popcorn flick, you aren't supposed to leave your brain at the door. In fact you are encouraged to bring it along in a highly alert state. Take that as my piece of advice if you ever intend to watch this film.

well, i guess i have run out of things to say, and will end it here. Be sure to check back for my next post which will make its way in another few hundred years...till then...err toodles?!!

Tribute to Liverpool Football Club

The following is a masterpiece i stumbled upon recently which accurately describes liverpool football club and it's adoring fans.I dedicate this to them for their recent FA cup victory.

You never win 'em pal. You just score a few penalties after drawing the
game.
There's a place we know where Scousers go
and it's always lots of fun
you can have a laugh at many things
if you're ready with a pun

You can mock the dead of Munich
be glad that George Best's dead
you can sing a dozen funny songs
of Duncan Edward's head

You can hope that Gary Neville
gets cancer and he dies
throw ammonia at Whiteside
and hope it blinds his eyes

You can even stone an ambulance
where Alan Smith is lying
even if it doesn't overturn
it's bound to be fun trying

You can talk of many pleasant things
with your like-minded mates
but you'll pause to show such reverence
as you pass the Shankly Gates

Where every single Scouser
who ever passed away
must be honoured and respected
have their own special day

Cos Scousers are a special breed
their hearts upon their sleeve
they ask the country to join in
and watch them as they grieve

They celebrate and they respect
each Scouser who departs
t hey ask that we can shed their tears
and nurse their broken hearts

Yet mention dead of anyone
who doesn't fit their own
they laugh out loud there is no shred
of honour ever shown

They laugh at young men dying
on runways filled with ice
and celebrate that Munich day
and never would think twice

of mocking Harold Shipman's dead
that lived within our city
these wallowers in plastic grief
the masters of self pity

They wave their tin foil silverware
and throw cups filled with shit
to shower on opposing fans
but never will admit

It's "justice for the 96"
but never 39
It's grieving for 'poor' Michael Shields
but not for Heysel dying

It's always everybody else
they're not the ones to blame
it was *Rentboys*, Yorkshire coppers
it's always been the same

We've all shed tears as 96
lay dying on the floor
but our sympathy has long since died
we'll grieve with you no more

i am annoyed. i had the post all typed out, and a browser error caused everything to be erased. i can't be arsed to type it all again.

The basic gist of the post was regarding chelsea's 3-0 win over manchester united, which confirms that they retain the scudetto...i mean the league title. i also had noted that despite the gulf in class between the both sides, united had managed to put up a decent effort to push chelsea to the last 3 games (even if it was simply delaying the inevitable) without a fuckin midfield. I also questioned the standard of the league, that we managed to do this with a failed leftback and an ageing winger being employed in midfield, lying above arsenal and especially liverpool who have a superior midfield.Though ofcourse, with 2 games left, we still can finish 3rd if we don't show enough strength in character to win atleast 1 of the last 2 games.

Next season, with a few additions in midfield, we ought to push chelsea closer, though it might not be enough to wrest the title back. Chelsea's billions or rather Abramovich's billions ensure that there is no level playing field in terms of spending power.(they have a 22 million pound winger on the bench for fucks sake!) We simply have to hope that they implode with ego clashing( potential dressing room unrest in the making especially with the expected arrival of ballack) or that Abramovich suddenly disappears from the face of the earth.

Observers claim that united is a one man team because of over reliance on Wayne rooney, or that Arsenal are a one man team because of a certain Theirry Henry. But the real one man team in the EPL, has and will always be Chelsea. Take that russian billionaire out of the picture (preferably by non fatal means), and they are fucked in more ways than one. It is as simple as that....

Ok..maybe not.

Anyway, we have come to the stage of the season where i make my cup predictions. Please do note that i got my predictions for last season absolutely spot on, and that i demand to be taken seriously ;)

FA Cup : Liverpool (no brainer really...benitez is a masterful tactican especially in these kind of competitions.
Expect alot of boring but ultimately effective football from the scouse inbreds)
European Cup: Arsenal ( simply because these days the best teams don't win cup competitions...and because
barcelona aren't destined to add to that one european cup that puts them on par with
ASTON VILLA!!!)
UEFA cup: Middlesboro ( God didn't gift them with their late comebacks for nothing...it will be a fuckin pity if
they fail to win it after all that drama)

A month is just a period of 30 to 31 days....28 if its febuary. Patience my most adored and respected readers. .I am currently uninspired and lack the motivation to blog about anything and everything.I don't suppose the need to review a novel exceeds my need to come to terms with my personal woes.Oh, and please stop imitating me on my tag board, whoever and whatever that is. I don't make such pathetic rebuttals that fall far short of even an idiot's response. If you you feel the need up yourself by posting using my identity, please do so with a more accurate and convincing portrayal of my mannerisms and expression. It will be much appreciated, thank you.
